I meant to stop at our local Weis for just a few items but the deals were flowing! Best deal of the night? Cover Girl makeup at 75% off! We purchased $136 worth of makeup but only paid $18.67!!! Thanks to the clearance price and amazing manufacturer coupons such as $2.50 off 2 or $1 off 1 item. It pays to clip coupons even if you aren’t sure you are going to use them!
In addition to the make up deal, I was very pleased with my entire shopping trip at Weis today. Total value of items (including make up) $293.14. Total I paid $101.34. Total Savings $191.80 which was $65%!!!! I sure do love only paying for 35% of the items and it was awesome to bless my daughter with the make up!!! Thank you Extreme Couponing in Excellence!!
I also visited a new store today while in the Lancaster area- Aldi (www.aldi.us) I found a few deals and tried to stick to my list. I spent a total of 18.97 without using coupons. I love that I only spent $1.79 for a Dole pineapple, $1 for a nice size stalk of celery, and a little over $1 each per bag of nachos and pretzels. Great opportunity to stock up! I don’t think I would go out of my way to shop there but if I lived closer I would most likely visit it a couple times each month.
It was a great day for our checkbook. I’ve come out the victor once again. What made this trip even better was the lack of planning ahead. Weis deals were spur of the moment and worked for us because I had my coupons clipped and filed so I could easily find them.

Which Weis Market has the makeup deal? My local one knew nothing about it when I went in search of it?
Our local Gap, PA Weis. However, keep in mind clearance items are not always available at every store. That’s the importance of being prepared and always looking for the deals. It’s always important to look for clearance items- you just never know what you will find. I also found Pillsbury Chocolate Peppermint Cookie Mixes on clearance for just $1 each. I had coupons for $1/2. Each box only cost me 50 cents. The cookie mixes do not expire until March 2013. These were also in the clearance area. In the past I found Welch’s grape juice for $1.50 and after coupon I only paid 50 cents each. It’s all in being organized and prepared. I will be teaching this in the coupon workshops. I just left Gap Weis Market. The makeup was all full/overpriced. I looked through the whole store for a clearance display and finally spoke to the manager. She knew nothing about there having been such a deal now or previously. I did find a Gillette Fusion Eagles razor marked down to $6.99 and I had a $5.00 off coupon, so the trip wasn’t a total loss. I was looking forward to replacing some makeup though. Not sure what I did wrong, but I didn’t find it.
